I broke the law, was put in state's custody for five years—gave up addiction. My withdrawal's painful, but worth it. I Desire home, family, freedom, & companionship!

Five years is a long time. It's only been about five months for me and I hate it. I couldn't imagine five years. The best thing to do would just be to work your treatment and get back home to your family.
I can relate to this in that I have been in the system the last 4.5 years. It's no fun I hope you have learned what I have it's Jo fun being locked up. I also hate being told what to do so it was he'll. i always wanted to tell them to stuff it.
I've learned from personal experience and I've realized that over time you can fake it for a while but you'll never graduate treatment unless you buckle down and deal with it faking it will only get you a longer stay down the path you hate. Stay true and time will fly.
