Do/Don't Essay

Let me tell you the best kept secrets about growing up in a small town. It's fun and even though there are no malls and stores and stuff you make things to do and actually enjoy the open freedom of the land.

I don't mean to say that living in the country is super fun  Because it's not. It can be very boring if you don't have a open mind and make things up to keep you occupied

I've made up a brief list of the do's and don't's for living in a small town to give people another perception on life outside the city walls.

Do: be a part of the community, that means socialize with everybody and be willing to help if the need is there be.

Don't: tell people your personal business small towns pass things around really fast and secrets are like the front page of a news paper when you tell somebody so keep things too yourself.

Do: take advantage of out in the middle of know where like on the weekends don't sit home watching  tv get all you buddies together and have a fire up in the mountains or the desert And enjoy the night.

Don't: get into any trouble small towns pick out the  So called trouble makers And don't accept them and trust me you don't want to be up against the rest off the town on everything so keep your reputation clean.

I do agree immensely upon the factor of staying away from trouble while residing in a small town. I used to live in Ellsworth, Kansas and people knew everything about you. Much of their information came from gossip, but most of it was true. So getting into trouble in a small town will instantly ruin your reputation.

I like this! Ps this is aspen haha,
It is so true that small towns can't keep there mouth's shut haha. Sometimes in small schools (like summit) the same thing happens. Reputations are ruined because someone couldn't keep their mouth shut. Is best to keep things to yourself sometimes. :) thanks for the advice!

Yep. So, tbh I feel like small towns have a nice feel to them and can be very good to have a life in, but you have to follow rules and expectations. You need to make sure you only tell things to people you trust. That's sound advice you're giving.
