Well it's finally a new year, which means it's time for a new start. Style is one of the most important things to me. I have always been a girly girl my whole life. You need that outfit, makeup, and hair or point each and everyday! Having the same style for 365 days gets old real quick. I'm sure other girls feel the same way I do so I decided it would be a good idea to express my feelings about the main thing we need to leave back in 2014 when it comes to style.

Boot cut pants: I feel like they should have went out of style years ago but people keep wearing them. My question is why? There nothing cute at all. They don't tuck into boots good at all. They just puff up at the top. Then if you wear them with tennis shoe they cover your whole shoe. Then tell me what's the point of buying cute shoes? Exactly!

Baggy shirts: At first I thought these shirts were adorable but then one day I realized they were just making my figure look worse. They made me look a lot bigger than I was. They never show your actually figure. Yes this might be good for you if your bigger but when your small like me it doesn't help one bit. Like I said it makes you look fat! Why would you want that when you can show off your small figure?  

Vests: These make you look even worse then baggy shirts do. They at very puffy which means they are thick. When you have thick clothing on you it's obviously not going to make look very thin. They are extremely hot to wear throughout the day. Just theres nothing really great about them. 

High waist shorts: I feel like pants are supposed to sit right bellow where your hip bones are placed. High waist pants go up way to high. When you shirts in it makes it so you are able to see that your button is places higher then your belly button how is that hot? When you go to wear a crop top you can't even see your stomach. I just can't stand them yes they may be something new but I'm not fond of them. 

Shirts that cover your butt: They make it so you can no longer see your pants and I don't know about you I always have cute pants. They always have a cute design on the butt pockets of them. If I was to wear a long shirt like a lot of girls have been it would defeat the purpose of buying cute jeans. It also makes it look like you have a really flat butt and most girls rather have their butt have some kind of bubble to it. 

When girls in high school still wear backpacks: I feel that once your in high school it's time to get ride of that backpack and start carrying a purse. Backpacks make you look so plain. There's no fashion in them. You can't see the back of your outfit anymore so it defeats the person of wearing those cute shirts with lace in the back. It makes you look like a nerd that's all about school. Yeah I'm not a fan! You need to look like your actually grow up and ready when you leave the house. 

After hearing about why I would like to leave these types of clothing in the past I hope you agree with me. You've heard my reason on why they are no longer high in fashion. Let's start a new year with new style. Something fabulous! I hope someone out there agrees with what I've had to say. Goodbye 2014 hello 2015. 

Do/Don't Essay

Let me tell you the best-kept secret about make-up! 

Do: Always wear mascara because it brings out your eyelashes. It also gives your eyes a bigger feel. 

Don't: Wear to much mascara because it makes it look very old and dry. Plus you'll find them always sticking together.

Do: Base is a necessary part of makeup. It does so much for your face it's incredible. You could have many zits and base will cover them within seconds.

Don't: There's a few things you shouldn't do when it comes to base and that's put to much on. When you put to much on it makes it so your face doesn't match your skin tone. 

Do: Eyebrows are very important part as well. They bring out your eyes almost as much as mascara does. You should always have them shaped and filled in with the appropriate color. The appropriate color should match your hair color the best it can.    

Don't: Ever box your eyebrows or make them darker than your hair color. It will ruin your whole appearance.

And finally do: Remember not to put to much of anything on you could end up looking very fake and clown like. 

But for the love of everything holy don't: Judge others makeup just judge your own. We all have our own tastes.

My Favorite Mistake

Have you ever had to start out somewhere new without your family? I have and it's been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I decided to risk losing everything and everyone I love just so I could have a few good nights with some negative friends. I hope while reading this it helps you understand why it's important to put your family before any of your friends. 

It's 12:34 a.m on a warm Summer night as I lay in bed listening to music as my cellphone starts to ring. I look at my phone and it's my best friend Vivian. I answer with excitement "what's up?" "Nothing much just out driving around with Justin, Kayden, and Gage. Do you want to come chill with us? All come pick you up!" I go silent for a moment to think about the consequences but before going into complete thought I answer "hell yeah come get me all be ready in five minutes." 

I get dressed in comfy legging an a sweater before heading down stairs. The house is completely silent as I slowly walk down the stairs and out the back door. My heart keeps pounding faster and fast. I can't help but be nervous because if I get caught being out tonight I will be breaking probation and lose all my trust. That can't happen I kept telling myself. Finally I get out the back door without anyone hearing a single sound. I take a deep breathe and walk out front to find Vivian in my drive just like she said she would be but in a different car than she usually drives. 

I open the passengers door with a smile on my face. "I have missed you like crazy Viv." "I've missed you to Ky, get in!" I get in and all my worries begin to slowly fade away. It feels amazing to get out with all my friends again. As were driving alone the long dirt road i decide to ask " who's car is this anyways? Oh and does your mom know your out tonight?" "Kylie don't ask to many questions now it's gonna be fine this is Deavon Toblers car. His parents are away for the weekend so I decided we could borrow the car and have a little bit of fun our selves!" I agree with her this night was our chance to have fun. 

We pulled into my driveway at 5:53 a.m I no longer was scared of getting caught so I walked up my stairs with a smile on my face and no worries. I kept replaying everything we did in my head over and over again until I finally dosed of into a deep sleep. I woke up at 1:32 to my  moms voice telling me we had a probation meeting at 2:00 and that I need to be ready in 10 minutes. 

I stood up super fast and got dressed and combed my hair. We showed up a few minutes after 2 o'clock. I walk in with a smile on my face "hello Donnie." "Hi Kylie sorry for the inconvenience I just had to talk to you about a few different thing. You know how you are supposed to be on house arrest until you finish all of your hours?" "Ummm yes, why?" "Well I guess since you know your on house arrest you wouldn't risk sneaking out would you?" I can't believe it she has to know what happened last night but how? My heart starts to beat fast and I can feel that I'm started to get warmer and warmer. I started talking again hoping she won't notice my long pause before reply.  "Donnie you know I wouldn't sneak out I have way to much to lose! You already told me that if I mess up again I am getting sent away."  "Kylie you know what you have to lose but you snuck out and got into a stolen car? I don't think you even care about your consequences do you? Your going to detention for a 30 day period than you'll have court."

I am now sitting in a 5 by 5 cell thinking about how much my life is going to change. I can't believe I risked everything for that stupid night I mean yeah it was fun but now when I go to court it's going to look horrible. I have already made my judge and family so mad and disappointed . What is my judge going to do I kept asking myself. 

Finally 30 days has past! Today is a chill September  afternoon as I ride in the back of a van in shackles as we drive 25 minutes to see my judge. I am so nervous I can feel my stomach tighten and rumble. It's a horrible feeling to know you are no longer going home even after doing you detention time. 

We arrive to my court at 12:45 we wait in the hall for 15 minutes as I hear the police officer say "Kylie Thompson please come upon the judge." I want to turn and run but instead I  slowly walk to the front and sit in a chair next to my mom. The judge goes of my case and talks to my probation officer. Once he made up his mind he asked me to please stand and hear my sentence. I stand up to hear what he has to say knowing it going to be horrible , but hoping for the best. " Kylie Thompson you are sentenced 45 days in Genisis Youth Center in Draper Utah. Depending on your behavior there you will either be placed in a girls group home or Procter care than I will see you February 18 good 

I try to stay strong and not shed a single tear, but once I turned to see my mom all my tears began to fall. When I looked at her all I  could see is the disappointment in her eyes. I never thought I could hurt my family as much as I did that day.  They lost all there trust in me but that wasn't even the worst part of all of this. 

3 months has past by and I am now in a Procter home. I am finally doing well and have a clear head. I have thought a lot these past months and realize what I want in my life thanks to stealing that car. Yes it was one of my worst but favorite mistakes. The reason this is my favorite mistake is simply because it actually taught me something.
